Localising SDGs and Local Issues | Book Launch

The book launch event marks the culmination of the All-Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia on SDGs (APPGM-SDG) pilot phase. Established in 2019, the group, with the Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance as the secretariat, aimed to localize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the parliamentary constituency level.

The book compiles the findings of issue mapping and delivery challenges assessment conducted in 10 constituencies, shedding light on key insights and solutions. Locally based researchers played a pivotal role, utilizing their ground-level knowledge to provide valuable contributions. This launch signifies a significant milestone in Malaysia's journey towards SDG implementation and fosters an informed dialogue on achieving the goals.
